Townly Cooke was a silent movie enthusiast and an avid collector of cinematic ephemera from the era. His vast collection, which includes rare stills from now lost films have been bequeathed to the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum in Exeter, England. Highlights from the collection were on display in an exhibition at the museum in 2019.
